LSD’s team of archaeologists and historic preservationists provide cultural resources management services in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. We have extensive experience performing cultural resources inventories; evaluating properties for National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligibility; and preparing technical reports documenting the avoidance, preservation, and treatment of significant cultural resources.

LSD’s Cultural Resources Team has experience working as part of interdisciplinary teams that provide comprehensive environmental compliance. Our analytical capabilities include scientific analyses of archaeological datasets; expert analysis of ceramic, lithic, faunal, and historic artifacts; excavation and analysis of burials; and collection of archaeomagnetic samples.

We complete all cultural resources investigations according to accepted professional standards that are consistent with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards and Guidelines for Archaeological and Historic Preservation. We maintain annual permits for conducting cultural resources surveys on state and federal lands in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico.
