Encroachment permits are typically required by state departments of transportation for projects that require use of or intrusion onto a state highway right-of-way or for construction, maintenance, or repair of permanent or temporary improvements. LSD works with various clients to prepare environmental reports needed to secure encroachment permits for these projects. Our knowledgeable in-house staff of environmental planners, biologists, Clean Water Act permitting specialists, and cultural resources specialists help our clients comply with the environmental regulations required for these permits.
