LSD offers a full range of environmental planning services, including resource assessments and management plans, corridor management studies, Title VI/Environmental Justice surveys, environmental impact statements (EISs), environmental assessments (EAs), categorical exclusions (CEs), and environmental overviews (EOs). We have established strong working relationships with federal, tribal, state, and local resource and regulatory agencies.
LSD has completed or is currently working on more than 1,900 National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and related environmental studies. Our understanding of governmental procedures effectively guides our clients through complex environmental and regulatory processes. LSD’s environmental planners are experienced in scoping critical issues and at-risk resources, clearly defining a project’s purpose and need, identifying and evaluating a feasible range of alternatives, disclosing potential impacts, providing adequate and reasonable mitigation measures, and ensuring the participation of the public in decision-making processes.
In addition to our Environmental Planning Team, LSD’s staff of biologists, cultural resources specialists, permitting specialists, and graphics/geographic information (GIS) specialists ensures we have the in-house resources needed to successfully complete even the most complex projects.
