LSD’s Community Planning and Design Team approaches general planning by engaging stakeholders and the public; helping build consensus about their vision of the future; and helping clients develop realistic, implementable policies that reflect that vision. LSD’s in-house staff of certified planners, landscape architects and designers, and public involvement specialists has worked with clients ranging from small, rural communities to large cities and counties to develop effective general plans; specific area plans; parks, recreation, and open space planning; subdivision regulations; and zoning ordinance and map updates that achieve long-term community goals.
