LSD’s experience encompasses two types of sports facilities: recreational sports facilities designed for community or educational use and sports venues, such as arenas and stadiums, designed for commercial events. LSD recognizes that visitors to commercial sports facilities are anticipating an event, and we heighten that anticipation by creating dramatic entry and plaza spaces that encourage fans to congregate and socialize. When developing designs for sports facilities, we consider the type of programming, anticipated users, safety, accessibility, maintenance, and upkeep costs.
