Beth Defend Joins Logan Simpson Design Inc. As Senior Environmental Planner

Tempe , Arizona — Logan Simpson Design Inc. (LSD) announced that Beth Defend has joined the firm as a Senior Environmental Planner. Defend has more than 22 years of experience in preparing environmental documentation that complies with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other environmental laws and regulations. She has managed seven environmental impact statements (EISs) and more than 30 environmental assessments ( EAs) focusing on resource management, military operations, transportation improvements, and utilities. Many of these projects required extensive coordination among federal, state, and local agencies, as well as environmental organizations, Native American communities, and the general public.

“I’ve known Beth for more than 12 years, and she is one of the best NEPA planners in the Southwest,” said CEO Diane Simpson-Colebank. “Her experience in managing high-profile and controversial projects will give LSD added strength in preparing high-quality and legally defensible EISs and EAs for our clients,” she added.
