Diane Simpson-Colebank, RLA, ASLA

A founding partner, Diane is an Arizona Registered Landscape Architect with more than 33 years of experience in environmental planning and resource management. Her expertise encompasses a wide variety of environmental studies: overviews, categorical exclusions, environmental assessments, and technical evaluations for environmental impact statements. Diane excels in public involvement, visual resource assessments, and large- scale, natural resource-based recreation master plans. She has worked with federal, state and local agencies, special interest groups and neighborhood associations in many different forums to communicate information, solicit issues and concerns, and reach consensus. Diane has been responsible for the more than 1,900 environmental studies the firm has undertaken since 1990. Wayne Colebank, RLA, ASLA

Wayne Colebank, RLA, ASLA Wayne Colebank has more than 32 years of professional practice in natural resource-based landscape architecture, environmental planning, and permitting. He is a recognized expert in Clean Water Act compliance and is responsible for all Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 401, 402, and 404 activities. Wayne specializes in the development and delivery of CWA Section 404 technical training for Section 404 and Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) storm water permits. His experience includes traditional master planning; design and permitting for infrastructure-related water and wastewater projects; transit, transportation, drainage, sports, recreation, educational, and historic interpretation projects. Wayne’s landscape architecture practice specializes in native plant salvage and desert restoration; habitat replacement; watercourse/riparian restoration; wetlands; rural highway development; freeway landscaping; urban streetscapes; visual/aesthetic studies; historic resource mitigation; and interpretive signage. Steve Lohide, RLA, ASLA

Steve Lohide has more than 24 years of experience and is registered to practice landscape architecture in Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, and Montana. He has diverse experience in large and small-scale projects with both public and private clients from the initial concept through construction documents. Steve’s experience includes educational, municipal, and airport facilities; new and refurbished parks; housing and commercial developments; and streetscapes. He has served as project designer, project manager, and project principal for projects that included project theming; coordination with municipalities, agencies, architects, engineers, and artists; landscape, irrigation, and hardscape design; multi-use trails; plant salvaging; and native revegetation. In addition to his design activities, Steve has extensive experience overseeing LSD’s construction management activities. Greg Brown, RPA

Greg Brown, RPA Greg is a registered professional archaeologist and has been conducting archaeological survey and excavations in the Southwest since 1988. He has served as principal investigator, project director, and field director on numerous cultural resource investigations, including Class III intensive pedestrian surveys, archaeological testing projects, and excavations. He is also responsible for LSD’s cultural resources public interpretive programs and historic archaeology/history property projects. Greg is responsible for ensuring all LSD’s cultural resources projects adhere to strict quality standards and are completed on time and within budget. Greg has successfully managed numerous high-priority, high-profile projects with tight schedules. Sample projects include the Phoenix Convention Center (La Lomita) Testing and Data Recovery; Watson & Willow Lakes Park Data Recovery and Public Interpretive Program; Bighorn National Forest Tyrrell Ranger Station Historic Evaluation and Monitoring; Manning Canyon Data Recovery; and Duval Mine Road Traffic Interchange Cultural Resources Survey and Data Recovery. Greg has also been the principal in charge of more than 56,000 acres of cultural resources surveys for the Bureau of Land Management in Utah, ranging in size from 100 to 8,500 acres.


Eileen Hammond, CPA

Eileen is LSD’s chief financial officer. She is a certified public accountant with more than 20 years of experience working in architecture, engineering, development, and construction firms. Eileen is responsible for the overall financial vision of the firm. Eileen designs, implements, and monitors LSD’s financial system and directs all financial planning and accounting activities. She is highly knowledgeable about government accounting practices required by public agencies.
